Hi, I’m Todd Larson, and I started this blog to disseminate my thoughts, ideas and perspectives on how marketers for the architecture, engineering and construction industry could better use their resources and talents to promote their firms more effectively.
I’ve been a professional writer for 21 years, specializing in architecture, real estate and business. My articles have been published in the Boston and Baltimore Business Journals, Victorian Homes, The Improper Bostonian, the Boston Herald, Banker & Tradesman, and other leading publications.
As Marketing Director for Pressley Associates Landscape Architects of Cambridge, MA, I initiated the firm’s first LinkedIn profile, Twitter account, blog and e-newsletter. I wrote, edited and upgraded project summary pages, web pages and PowerPoint presentations to bring them in line with the firm’s rebranding. I wrote proposals and business query letters and profiles, repositioning the firm to generate a higher business volume. My press releases on Pressley’s project completions were published in Landscape Architect Business Magazine, High-Profile Monthly and the New England Real Estate Journal. (For my portfolios, visit

As Marketing Coordinator for Architectural Partners, Inc., of Watertown, MA (now Dakota Partners of Waltham, MA), I managed the firm’s entire marketing campaign, laying the foundations for its growth from a struggling architectural practice into a successful design/build/development company. I wrote, edited and upgraded newsletters and project description sheets with clean layouts, crisp texts and sharp graphics. I increased the firm’s visibility by publishing a press release on the groundbreaking of their Weston View condominium development in Somerville on a section front page of the New England Real Estate Journal.
